We’re proud to share that Agnomy was awarded the $25,000 grand prize at the AWS AI Pitch Competition hosted in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), nClouds, AllCode, and the California Capital Women’s Business Center.
For us, this was not just about winning a competition. It was validation that agriculture continues to need better tools, better coordination, and systems built around how work actually gets done in the field.
Agnomy was built from real farming challenges we have experienced firsthand. Finding reliable service providers, coordinating work during tight timing windows, managing communication, and keeping operations moving efficiently are problems growers deal with every season.
That is what Agnomy is focused on solving.
Built by Farmers, Focused on Real Agricultural Problems
Agriculture runs on timing. When spraying, irrigation, harvest, labor, or equipment work gets delayed, it can impact the entire operation.
For too long, growers have relied on word of mouth, scattered phone calls, spreadsheets, and outdated directories to find critical services. Even today, many farm operations still struggle to quickly locate reliable providers during narrow operational windows.
According to industry research, 56% of farmers report they do not have enough help available each year, and an estimated 21% of critical work goes undone because labor, equipment, or services cannot be secured in time.
That gap creates real consequences in the field.
Agnomy was built to help solve that problem by making it easier for growers to find, book, and manage agricultural services while helping service providers better coordinate jobs, communication, and operations in one place.
Why This Recognition Matters
This recognition reinforces a belief we strongly hold.
Agriculture does not need more complexity. It needs better access, better coordination, and tools that actually work for the people doing the work every day.
The agriculture industry is evolving quickly. Growers are dealing with tighter margins, labor shortages, changing weather, and increased operational pressure. At the same time, more technologies and service providers are entering the market than ever before.
The challenge is not just innovation. The challenge is making those solutions accessible and usable in real farming operations.
That is where we believe platforms like Agnomy can make a meaningful impact.
Looking Ahead
We appreciate AWS, nClouds, AllCode, and the California Capital Women’s Business Center for supporting innovation in agriculture and creating opportunities for founders solving real industry problems.
Most importantly, we appreciate the growers, service providers, and agricultural businesses who continue to support what we are building.
We are excited for what is ahead and even more excited to continue building alongside farmers and agricultural service providers across California and beyond.
